Our 12 guest rooms sit along the ocean in Skidegate. With comfortable beds, private bathrooms, and everything you need for a good night’s rest, JAGS is an easy home base for exploring Haida Gwaii.
In the morning, head downstairs for all-day breakfast, freshly brewed coffee, and homemade baking at JAGS Coffee Shop, open Monday to Friday.

JAGS is a comfortable place to stay while you’re exploring Haida Gwaii. Sleep in, grab breakfast downstairs, head out for the day, and come back to a cozy bed and a quiet room at the end of it. Whether you’re here for a few nights or a little longer, we hope you’ll feel right at home.
We have four room types to choose from, each with something a little different. Read below to find the room that’s right for you, then book online to reserve your stay.
Double Queen Room Plus +

Two queen beds, a private ensuite, and a little extra space to settle in. The kitchen nook includes a sink, dishes, cutlery, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, and Nespresso machine — handy for families, friends, or longer stays.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in
3:00 PM
We’re a self check-in property, so there’s no front desk to check in at. We’ll send your room number and check-in details by email before you arrive, and your room will be ready for you from 3:00 PM.
Check-out
11:00 AM
Check-out is by 11:00 AM. When you’re ready to head out, simply leave your key inside the room — no need to stop by the office.
Do you offer housekeeping during my stay?
Housekeeping is available upon request between 10:00am and 2:00pm. If you’d like your room refreshed—whether it’s fresh towels, extra coffee pods, or other amenities—just send us a message.
What is your cancellation policy?
For individual bookings, cancellations made within 7 days of your check-in date will be charged 50% of the total booking amount. If you do not arrive and do not notify us in advance (a no-show), the full booking amount will be charged.
All cancellation requests must be made by email so we have a written record of the request and the date it was submitted.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended when visiting Haida Gwaii. We are a remote island destination, and flights and ferry service can occasionally be affected by weather or other travel disruptions. Our cancellation policy still applies if you are unable to reach Haida Gwaii due to a cancelled or delayed flight, ferry sailing, or other travel interruption. We recommend choosing travel insurance that includes coverage for trip cancellation and interruption due to weather or transportation disruptions.
We’re a small, family-run business, and cancellations can have a real impact on our little operation. Thanks so much for understanding!
When is the coffee shop open?
We’re open Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–2:00 PM, serving all-day breakfast, coffee, tea, and homemade baking.
We’re closed Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Breakfast is not included with your room, but we’d love to have you join us while we’re open!

Do you have laundry machines?
Yes! We have guest laundry available for $10 per load, with both a washer and dryer. Laundry is available between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
Do the rooms have a kitchen?
Our Plus+ rooms have a kitchen nook with a sink, dishes, cutlery, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, and Nespresso machine. There is no oven or cooktop.
